Deliciously filling dinner

1 medium onion, diced
1 cup of green lentils
1 cup of water
½ tsp ground turmeric powder
¾ tsp salt
½ tsp ground cinnamon
1 potato, diced into 1cm chunks
1. Add a splash of water to a pot (to avoid sticking. You can use oil instead) on medium-high heat and sauté until the onions are lightly browned.
2. Add remaining ingredients. Bring it to a boil and reduce to simmer for 20 minutes.
Soak the lentils for faster cooking.
