During my first 2 years of my business, I was bombarded with information about how in order for me to succeed I had to work very hard and very long hours🤨.
No one told me “Listen to your body”, “Make sure you take care of yourself”, “How does that feel for you?”.
So the high-achiever in me, substituted drugs, alcohol, and partying, for another trauma response. YAY. Hustling.
So I went from healing from chronic illness and waking up to do my yoga and sip on my green smoothie, only to spend the rest of my day working without taking breaks, resting while watching Gaia or some sort of training (we gotta do an active rest!), and telling myself “I’ll work hard now, so I can relax later”.
SAME STORY, DIFFERENT COSTUME 😅
It took me a while to realise, even as a Somatic Coach, that the way I was doing business was a trauma response.
BUT I DID. Thank God.
Because I got to change that. I got to actually bring my medicine and my work to my business🪄.
And now I get to do my thing while making my body a priority and being able to sleep at night without waking up with post ideas✌️.
